Tregantle is a large 4 bedroom house in the coastal village of Dyffryn Ardudwy in Snowdonia. This modern house can easily accommodate up to 10 people so perfect for extended family breaks by the sea.
A fully fitted kitchen has all the facilities you would expect including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. A small breakfast table in the kitchen is great for children and their colouring in while Mum or Dad cooks.
Double French doors lead through to the more formal dinning room. A large hardwood table surrounded by ten high backed dining chairs creates an elegant refined space for family meals. The lounge opposite is more relaxed with plenty of slouching opportunities in front of the flat screen TV.
What makes this room particularly appealing is another set of large French doors that open out onto a decked area outside. You can sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the sunny yet private garden whilst others stay indoors to watch the telly. I always enjoy that feeling when you rush indoors from bright sunshine and it takes a moment or two for your eyes to adjust to the light.
The last room on the ground floor is a large bedroom with a super king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom. Perfect for older relatives perhaps but modern and spacious enough to be the favorite of old and young alike.
There are three more bedrooms upstairs. Another bedroom with a super king-sized bed and en-suite shower room. Then a smaller twin bedroom and finally a huge family room with a king sized bed and two single beds. All the bedrooms look out over the coastline towards the Llyn Peninsula.
Self Catering in Central Village Location
Dyffryn Ardudwy is a lovely little village half way between Harlech and Barmouth on the Cambrian Coast Road. Two pubs in the village. The first is within easy walking distance the other is a little further but still no need for the car. The post office, grocery shop and butchers are also only a short distance from the house. The larger towns of Harlech and Barmouth are 5 minutes away by car and offer more choice of shops and restaurants etc.
The beach in the village is fantastic. Huge rolling sand dunes stretch up and down this part of the coastline. Wonderfully clean water and gently sloping coastline provides a safe environment for all ages.
The mountains behind the house are a big favorite of many who know this area. Cwm Nantcol and Cwm Bychan must count among the most beautiful mountain valleys in the National Park. As well as mountain walking the more adventurous might enjoy white water rafting on the Tryweryn river, mountain bikeing at Coed Y Brenin or high rope adventures at Padarn Country Park.
